On June 3, 2024 Houston Polson N5YS, ARRL Louisiana Section Manager,
appointed Herman Campbell KN5GRK as Louisiana Section Public Information
Coordinator (PIC) replacing retiring Joe Holland KB5VJY former PIC for many
years. Thanks to Joe for his outstanding service during his appointment.
I am looking for anyone with suggestions to help me with this
appointment will be greatly appreciated. I am open to all suggestions.

KN5GRK Bio
- Graduated Little Rock Central High 1958 and received my
Novice License "KN5GRK" as a member of the school ham radio club
- Completed courses in Radio & TV Service and received
General Radiotelephone License at Draughon School of Radio & TV 1959
- Worked as engineer at KLFY-TV in Lafayette, LA from 1960
to 1969 in studio and transmitter sites
- Worked as engineer at KLNI-TV for 3 1/2 years as
assistant chief engineer
- I went to work for a mud logging company in 1974 for 7
years called "The Analysts" in the oil field business as a electronic
technician checking out gas analyzers, gas detectors, repair/ calibration of
all mud logging equipment and eventually ended up as Electronic R&M
Supervisor.
- Member of the ARRL for over 30 years
- Retired editor for the AARA monthly newsletter "LARC" for over 10 years
- I have been doing my own monthly personal newsletter
since April 2022
